Magmasaurs do increased damage to golems, high levels raised with good imprints and saddles is probably the way to go till gigas become available. I think your best bet until tranfers open is a Tek rifle or rocket launcher. You can easily Solo the Beta "We will Rock You" Mission with a Rex with Tek Saddle.
